In this article, I will explain how to successfully raise a child in Sims 4. There is much more to raising a child than in Sims 3 and I personally find them to be much more enjoyable. The Sims 4 Go to School Mod Pack was first released on May 2015 and offered a simple event where Child and Teen Sims would go to school and complete goals which would boost their grade. This new version vastly expands the original experience into a whole new mode of gameplay. Go to School requires Get to Work to function.
(Thanks to for the above logo!)The Sims 4 Go to School Mod Pack allows players with both The Sims 4 and The Sims 4 Get to Work to follow their Child and Teen Sims to school, similar to the three careers added in Get to Work. While the current version provides a simple event with occasional random field trips, the new version aims to provide a whole new gameplay experience and change the way you play with Child and Teen Sims, as well as a brand new career for older Sims!. Sims will now attend an actual class: a Teacher NPC will spawn at a podium and teach the lesson of the day, while other Sims sit and listen. The player’s main goal is to attend the class and ask questions, which can be done by clicking the teacher and selecting an interaction. When the school day starts, NPC Sims will attend class for a random amount of time (1, 2, 3 or 4 Sim hours) before going off to perform activities. The school lot also has other new NPCs: the Principal, the Counsellor, the Caterer and the Janitor. The former two can be assigned to a specific part of the lot using a special rug.

There will be a brand new career for older Sims, Education, which includes all the roles available on the school lot. NPCs on the school lot are drawn from this career, so if you switch households, the Sim you have in the career may be the one that actually appears!. Classes and activities aren’t the same everyday: there are five subjects (Social Development, Problem Solving, Creative Arts, Physical Education and Science and Technology). In Elementary School, these take place on Monday-Friday respectively. Costume Day still takes place on Wednesday along with the Creative Arts class. The schedule for High School hasn’t been decided yet. You can pick a liked and hated subject for your Sim, by having them perform a social interaction.
Sims will get a positive Moodlet on the day of their liked subject and a negative Moodlet on the day of their hated one. Your Sim’s liked subject will effect the special opportunities they receive!.
Sims have a School Spirit score! Those with high School Spirit will earn a positive Happy Moodlet while attending school, while those with low School Spirit will earn a negative Bored Moodlet. By default, they’ll be assigned a random level in the low range. School Spirit can be increased by talking to the Counsellor NPC. As well as boosting spirit, the Counsellor can also help get a Sim into the Confident, Focused, Inspired and Energized emotions!. Sims who use an excessive amount of Mean and Mischief interactions may be assigned a punishment!
While a Sim is punished, their school performance will decay drastically slower (this includes attending school inactively). The punishment will be lifted after the Sim earns Gold on a school day. Upon receiving it, they’ll lose a bit of performance and School Spirit as well. This is amazing. Here are just a few ideas, if needed. I don’t mod, so idk what’s feasible and what isn’tTeen Prom:-Could you make an “ask to prom as (date) (friend) (group)” interaction that would allow teen sims to have dates?
This could possibly utilize the ‘form group’ action that was introduced last year via a patch. Then, when the day arrived, sims could attend the prom and would already have their group together.-Would random phone calls to be asked to prom be possible? Idk how the phone system works-Could prom be at night, too?Other:Could parents get visits from the principal/ counselor when a child has proven themselves to be a problem multiple times? LolThis is awesome!!! Would this mod allow more than one sims around the same age group attend?
Like two kid sims in a household at the same time attend?If that’s not feasible to do what with both having goals. Then could you choose to attend with one child but the other child in the household generates kind of like an NPC as the rest?

The mod and over all features are fine though it’s a little immersion breaking when you have 2 kids or more that are in the same age group but the others go off to some unknown other school while attending school with one. Tiona, Hi, yes I did. Mines is working now. I downloaded the Turbo Career Mod along with the new venue list update. What was causing my problem was that the old venue list was in another folder, but once I deleted the old venue list and put the newest list in the folder. I went back in and of course the right icon was showing and all the newest schools was showing.
I can now go to both schools with no problem and the teens and adults can also go to the other jobs. But the only problem is some of the job performances I can’t do because it only shows the sponge but not say what has to be done. But it works. I went on Zerbu and downloaded the fixed go to school mod pack that he put up 1-17-17. I think once you delete all the go to school old pack and download the new with the newest venue list, it will work for you. Let me know what happens. Been so busy only got a chance to get back to the game a few minutes ago.
I deleted the old files and they are now appearing which is great BUT my new problem is now getting the teachers to go lecture. I have a podium in both elementary and high school but still nothing. So frustrated cause I was really anxious about this MOD. Do you know why this may be happening? Another question. Forgive my ignorance but when a new patch is updated you have to redownload all files from the same site correct? And can you actually follow your adult sims in the education career to school??.
Hey Tiona, the Toddlers patch caused the podium issues along with many other things. Zerbu posted it on his Tumblr January 14, 2017 and he found out what the problem was and fixed it and posted a go to school patch update, link below. So you have to download the updated version and it will work and fix the glitch because the same thing happened to me but when I downloaded this it corrected that problem Just make sure you remove the old version. It’s not Zerbu it Sims 4. But he fixed it.

I usually check his Tumblr every now and then to see what is new if it is. Sorry, but no you can’t go to work as a teacher, principal or counselor in the Turbo Career Mod but you can follow them with all the other careers that you wouldn’t normally get to do. You can go to work with the teens too with Turbo Career Mod Minus two others but I don’t remember which one’s it is. Hi there,I just came across your mod.
It works very well when I play a teen or a child in the respective school but unfortunately playing the teacher job does not work. It says there is a script problem.
That’s because of the last patches, isn’t it? So, I never can play the teacher job, right?
