Hi Troy,Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting. We appreciate your interest in Windows 10.I understand your inconvenience that you are unable to set system’s language to English, even after choosing Canada English while installing Windows 10.
We will help you to resolve this issue. This issue is cased due to the language pack settings. Once we upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 we need to reinstall the language packs. You'll need to download the language pack if you want to make a language your Windows display language (that's the language you see most often in Windows and apps).a. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tapChange PC settings.(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)b. Clock on Time and language, and then click onRegion and language.c. Click a language that says Language pack available underneath, and then clickOptions.d. Clock on Download. The download process might take a while, depending on your PC and the size of the language pack.If you want to make this your display language, see the next section ' Change your Windows display language'.You may refer to the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.Hope it helps. Feel free to contact us for any further queries on Windows Operating System, we will be happy to help you.
How Do You Say Display In Spanish
I previously tried these steps without success.I have downloaded the English (Canada) language pack and set it as the default. (This was already done in Windows 8.1 and was verified as the current setting in Windows 10 before writing the question on the forum). The error seems to come, not from a setting on my compute but, from a setting within the Windows store or Apps somewhere hosted out in cyberspace. I arrive at this conclusion as the date and time settings match the computer's region settings and the programson the computer are all in English, only the Apps are in Spanish. Thanks for any help. This didn't help me. I only have English as input language in the additional settings, but my Windows is Chinese. When I first changed it to English, it was nice: all English, but now, it's getting back to Chinese. Notifications I can't read:-(( and evennow the screen that asked me to sign in was in Chinese!
Display In Spanish To English
So I can just guess what it says. But the computer belongs to my school and I can't change to an English version. If the display language is in English, why aren't all notifications in English? I was very glad to see that Windows is now bilingual. I've struggled for years with the Chinese Windows versions of XP and Windows 7 but now I'm stuck as much as before.
